Healing Our Communities through Constructive Disagreement:  Building Bridges Across Differences

In our current national and international moment, our communities feel like they are dividing along many constantly-shifting faultlines. As Jewish organizations, we can and must bring our communities together to engage with the many challenges we face every day – even when we vehemently disagree.

This interactive webinar, hosted in partnership with Pardes, draws on ancient Jewish wisdom and the latest social science to help Jewish professionals facilitate constructive dialogue across differences within our communities. After the webinar, we will offer an optional 8-week cohort beginning in October (fully paid for by us!), including paying each participant a $100 stipend to host a community conversation using your newfound facilitation skills.

Preparing Jewish Organizations to Protect Democracy

Join A More Perfect Union as we partner with Protect Democracy, the leading cross-ideological organization dedicated to supporting a robust and resilient democracy, on Wednesday, July 30th from 2:30-3:30 PM ET, for a critical webinar: “Preparing Jewish Organizations to Protect Democracy.”

Together, we'll examine why authoritarian-minded leaders threaten civil society organizations, the specific ways government entities might target faith-based organizations through unwarranted investigations, regulatory challenges, or other actions designed to limit your ability to pursue your mission, and what you can do to mitigate these actions.

Led by experts from Protect Democracy, this program will equip you with practical strategies to protect your organization's vital work in challenging times. You'll participate in interactive scenarios with fellow Jewish leaders to assess your preparedness and develop concrete action plans.

Our speakers:

  • Ellinor Heywood, Impact & Litigation Specialist

  • Shanna Singh Hughey, Policy Strategist

  • Genevieve Nadeau, Special Counsel & Head of Civil Society Defense Team

*Please note the times listed on this website are ET.

  • Connect with like-minded partners across the country

  • Share and learn success stories and best practices from diverse organizations

  • Discuss the most pressing democracy-related challenges to your work
