Repair the World Bay Area brings Jewish young adults and their communities together through hands-on service and learning that meets pressing needs, deepens connections to Jewish community and identity, and builds relationships across lines of difference. We're excited to be part of a growing network of Jewish organizations working together to strengthen civic life in their communities. We're looking for partnerships, resources, and ideas that can help us strengthen the Jewish service ecosystem in the Bay Area as a force for civic life.
National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland is a nonprofit organization, grounded in Jewish values, that advances social justice for women, children and families through advocacy, education and community service. We are excited to collaborate with like-minded organizations committed to strengthening democracy and expanding civic engagement in our community. We look forward to building partnerships around voter education, advocacy initiatives and community outreach, and welcome opportunities to connect with organizations working in these areas!
The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) at Jewish for Good connects the Jewish community with civic, interfaith, and public partners across Durham, Orange, Chatham, and Alamance Counties in North Carolina, rooted in Jewish values and a commitment to fostering understanding and meaningful partnership. We are most excited to be in community with peers who understand that strengthening democracy and strengthening Jewish life are not separate projects. We would love to connect with partners who are thinking creatively about what nonpartisan civic engagement looks like through a distinctly Jewish lens.
American Friends of Eretz HaTzvi supports Jerusalem's Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi and its growing alumni community in the United States. We are excited to join the Jewish Democracy Network because we believe that the message of our yeshiva is that Torah we study speaks directly to the world in which we live, and its values help us form vibrant, ethical families, communities, and societies. We are happy to share our programs and teachings with other institutions and organizations, and look forward to hearing about what others are doing in this space as well.
KAM Isaiah Israel is a progressive Reform synagogue on Chicago's South Side. They’re proud to join likeminded communities across the country to underscore and fortify the basic democratic principles on which America is founded. Introductions to local partners would be helpful especially as they plan community learning and engagement opportunities on the South Side.
YATOM is Jewish Foster Care & Adoption Network dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, particularly those impacted by foster care, poverty, and crisis, through education, community, and care rooted in Jewish values and stands alongside vulnerable children worldwide, advocating for their well-being and providing direct, life-changing support. They are especially excited to join a network of mission-aligned organizations working at the intersection of Jewish identity, community resilience, and democratic values, and to learn from others engaged in this important work. Through the JPD network, they hope to build meaningful partnerships, share best practices, and connect with organizations focused on youth empowerment, education, and social impact, strengthening our collective ability to serve children and families with dignity and care.
The Jewish Women’s Archive’s mission is to document Jewish women’s stories, elevate their voices, and inspire them to be agents of change. They are excited to be a part of this network and look forward to learning about, and collaborating with, other members.
Temple Isaiah is the largest Jewish organization in Contra Costa County. Our large and diverse Reform synagogue is a place for community, learning, spirituality, and the pursuit of justice. We are excited to join this network and stand shoulder-to-shoulder to protect the democracy that has kept Jews safe and thriving in America for hundreds of years. We're especially interested in connecting with other congregations who are doing this work to learn from and support each other across America.
National Council of Jewish Women, Michigan (NCJW | MI) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who, inspired by Jewish values, strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. They are excited to connect with new coalition partners to build relationships that can raise our voices and influence for common goals to improve our communities. They are a nonpartisan, 501(c)3 organization, so they are hoping that joining the Jewish Partnership for Democracy network will assist us in connecting with like-minded Jewish organizations to work on important issues to uphold our democracy and move it forward.
Jewish LearningWorks nurtures educators, inspires education and builds Jewish literacy in the Bay Area and beyond. They provide year round professional development to leaders across the Jewish ecosystem. They believe that education - and specifically Jewish education - is a cornerstone of democracy. They are looking forward to the opportunity to partner with other Jewish organizations thinking about their work through this lens. They are especially interested in getting to know and collaborate with organizations that are serving professionals in their communities, because they know that training leaders has a tremendous ripple effect. And, because we know how deeply moral leadership is needed right now.
The Workers Circle is a national Jewish social justice organization advancing inclusive democracy. They are excited to join the JPD to connect with a broad network of Jewish organizations working together to strengthen our communities and advance a more inclusive democracy. They’re looking to collaborate on impactful democracy campaigns, share strategies and resources, and connect with partners aligned on voting rights and protecting democratic institutions.
Art/Lab: Innovating Jewish Arts and Culture uplifts Pacific Northwest Jewish artists and culture bearers by anchoring artists in their Jewish identity, connecting them within a larger network of Jewish artists, supporting the creation and showcasing of new works and creating meaningful public engagement opportunities that strengthen the Jewish community and make clear the critical role that the arts can play in this process. Our 2026/27 Fellowship Cohort will be exploring the role of Democracy in Jewish thought and practice and they are excited to bring arts practice to the larger conversation as a way to dialogue, learn and grow. They are looking to connect with folks and institutions that have an interest in the role of the arts in creating and securing a healthy, thriving and critically thinking Democracy.
United Hebrew is a Reform congregation in suburban St. Louis, Missouri, and is proud to be the oldest congregation west of the Mississippi. They’re excited by non-partisan work that seeks to bring us together to not only talk about but work together to strengthen the US democratic system. More than anything, they’re excited to have an organization and a group of organizations that can help us understand how to better do this work, especially with regard to ideas and resources.
Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo is the central hub for Jewish philanthropy, community programming, and services supporting Jewish life across the Northwest. They’re excited to join the network to connect with peers who share a commitment to strengthening democratic engagement and civic life. They would love to be connected with partners interested in collaborative civic education and interfaith community building.
Temple Shomer Emunim is the only Reform Congregation in Northwest, Ohio comprised of about 400 families. They are excited to participate because they are finding their way through the current civic environment in a congregation full of people along the political spectrum. They are looking for help talking about real issues while maintaining cohesion in our community.
Congregation Ner Tamid is a Reform Synagogue whose mission is to provide meaningful religious services, life-long Jewish learning opportunities, cultural programs and social activities in order to perpetuate and advance Reform Judaism. They are most excited to join the network in order to expand our community outreach and collaborate with other JPD partners across the country. They are looking to connect and collaborate with other partners in order to share ideas.
Congregation Olam Tikvah is a Conservative-movement affiliated synagogue in Northern Virginia serving an ideologically diverse community of all ages. They're excited to join the network for the opportunities to continue to engage in the meaningful dialogue that is at the core of healing political division in this country. They would love to be connected to other faith250 communities as they continue through those dialogues to understand what others have found to be best practices in running these events.
Aleph: The Jewish Renewal Movement forges spiritually grounded, deeply learned leaders and weaves them into a global ecosystem of transformative gatherings and accessible resources, fostering a vibrant, ethically grounded, and joyfully inclusive Judaism for all who seek it. They are eager to connect with organizations doing work at the intersection of Jewish life, ethics, and civic engagement, and to explore how Jewish Renewal's emphasis on rigorous inquiry and ethical grounding can be a resource to the broader network.
The Jewish Action Network of Northern Colorado is a place for progressive Jews in the Northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains to come together and share their concerns about local and national current issues, and their broad range of activism regarding those issues. Joining the Jewish Partnership for Democracy is a natural step for them as they put their Jewish values to work to address those issues. They look forward to working with the national network and nearby local affiliates in furthering our common purpose of tikkun olam.
Congregation Beth Tikvah is a midsized Reform Congregation in Columbus, Ohio. Their community is active and committed to social justice work and from a listening campaign this fall, they heard a widespread concern for the faltering and loss of democratic norms. They are looking for bridge building strategies and partnerships to strengthen our democracy.
Kol Haskalah is the congregation for Humanistic Judaism in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, which includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas. One of the core beliefs of Humanistic Judaism is that it is up to humans to lift up humanity and repair the world. They are excited about the structure and resources of the Jewish Partnership for Democracy to put this belief into action. They particularly value the readings and resources that JPD makes available and the power of having a nationwide network to advocate for repairing and strengthening our democracy.
Kehillah Synagogue is a vibrant hub of Jewish communal life in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They are thrilled to be a part of the Jewish Partnership for Democracy so they can draw on the resources, expertise and guidance of the network in supporting and defending democracy in their state. Their multi-faith Faith250 cluster is about to launch its public facing work; they’d love to hear what other JPD communities/Faith250 clusters are planning for their concluding rituals/celebration of July 4th.
