Congregation Beth Tikvah is a midsized Reform Congregation in Columbus, Ohio. Their community is active and committed to social justice work and from a listening campaign this fall, they heard a widespread concern for the faltering and loss of democratic norms. They are looking for bridge building strategies and partnerships to strengthen our democracy.
Kehillah Synagogue is a vibrant hub of Jewish communal life in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They are thrilled to be a part of the Jewish Partnership for Democracy so they can draw on the resources, expertise and guidance of the network in supporting and defending democracy in their state. Their multi-faith Faith250 cluster is about to launch its public facing work; they’d love to hear what other JPD communities/Faith250 clusters are planning for their concluding rituals/celebration of July 4th.
Kol Haskalah is the congregation for Humanistic Judaism in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, which includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas. One of the core beliefs of Humanistic Judaism is that it is up to humans to lift up humanity and repair the world. They are excited about the structure and resources of the Jewish Partnership for Democracy to put this belief into action. They particularly value the readings and resources that JPD makes available and the power of having a nationwide network to advocate for repairing and strengthening our democracy.
