We’re thrilled that you have joined us!
To help acclimate you, we’ve compiled this onboarding guide to lead you through your first few days and weeks in the network. Don’t worry if you can’t get everything done in the recommended timeframe - we know how busy you are! We invite you to please reach out to us with any updates, ideas, or questions that arise as you make your way through this resource.
Getting Started
-
Access: A More Perfect Union’s Digital Hub is full of best-in-class resources to help our partners learn, speak, and act to protect and strengthen democracy. Register for the Digital Hub for access.
Promote: Feel free to add this “Proud Partner of A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy” image to the footer of your website.
Sign: Championing democracy means committing to stand up for a set of nonpartisan democratic principles, and working proactively and reactively to preserve them. Sign on to our Democracy Principles to join the movement of Jewish organizations publicly pledging to uphold democracy.
Announce: We encourage you to make an announcement to your community about joining the Jewish Partnership for Democracy. This often includes sending an email, press release, or newsletter item -- check out these templates to help get you started!
Reach Out: Connect with other Jewish organizations in your community to let them know you've joined the network, and invite them to join as well. Feel free to use this sample email as inspiration!
-
Learn: We encourage you and other leaders at your organization to check out our white paper, “The Jewish Imperative to Protect and Strengthen Democracy.” This resource makes a powerful case for why a thriving American democracy is essential to a thriving American Jewish community, and outlines A More Perfect Union’s approach to building a robust democracy in the United States. There are also many other resources to learn from in the Digital Hub and on the Resources page on our website.
Connect: Check out our current list of network partners to see the organizations you know, the organizations you want to know, and the organizations that have made commitments on the same strategic priorities as you. Our goal is to facilitate connectivity between partners, so if you want to be connected with anyone in particular, please ask us for an introduction!
-
Share: A frequent question we receive is, “What can individuals actually do to protect and strengthen democracy?” We encourage individuals to check out our Act Now as an Individual page, which compiles links and resources to help individuals make a difference in their communities. We regularly update this page, so encourage your constituents to keep checking it out.
Stay in Touch: We invite you to reach out to us regularly to share what you are working on! The more you share, the better we can support you and other partners in the network. Please consider sending a quick update on this form a few times a year – we recommend accepting this quarterly calendar reminder. We truly appreciate the feedback!
