Create a Voters’ Guide to Local Elections
JCRC of Greater Washington and the Washington Jewish Week teamed up to produce a Northern Virginia Congressional Jewish Voters’ Guide to help local voters become more informed about the candidates running for U.S. Senate and for U.S. House seats in Virginia’s 7th, 8th, 1th, and 11th Congressional Districts. Each candidate was asked to introduce themselves and to present their positions on important issues facing the Jewish community.
Make Interfaith / Intergroup Statements Supporting Democracy
JCRC of the Bay Area published an interfaith statement entitled "Standing United for Peace & Democracy" pledging to uphold the principles of democracy. The statement was co-signed by 30 organizations representing a wide array of faiths in the Bay Area.
Host a Democracy-Themed Shabbaton
Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor worked with Temple Beth Emeth and Beth Israel Congregation of Ann Arbor to create a Democracy Shabbaton featuring an expert who spoke about the importance of democracy in Judaism.
Hold a Local Jewish Advocacy Day
National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis, Jewish Federation of St. Louis, and JCRC St Louis joined together to organize Missouri Jewish Advocacy Day, where Jewish Missourians came together in Jefferson City to advocate for important legislation to improve their communities.
Host a Candidate Forum
JCRC of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio hosted a Candidate Forum for candidates for local elections, including Texas court of Appeals, County Commissioner, Texas House, Texas Senate, State Board of Education and Probate Judge.
